1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a truSprng account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you and truSprng Inc., a company operating under the laws of Ontario, Canada.
2. Services
truSprng provides: app-to-app voice calls (AWS Chime SDK), outbound PSTN calls (Twilio), real-time messaging, a digital wallet for peer-to-peer CAD transfers, and international bank transfers via Wise.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must provide a valid phone number for SMS verification.
- Financial services may be restricted in certain jurisdictions. You are responsible for complying with local laws.
- By using the platform, you confirm you are not on any government sanctions list.
4. Account Security
You are solely responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@trusprng.ca. We reserve the right to suspend accounts showing suspicious or fraudulent activity without prior notice.
5. Digital Wallet & Financial Services
- The truSprng wallet holds Canadian Dollar (CAD) balances.
- truSprng is not a bank. Wallet balances are not insured by CDIC or any deposit protection scheme.
- Minimum top-up: $1 CAD (wallet), $5 CAD (calling seconds).
- A Stripe processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 CAD applies to all card top-ups. This fee is non-refundable.
- Peer-to-peer transfers between truSprng users are instant and free.
- International bank withdrawals via Wise are subject to Wise's fees and exchange rates, which are deducted from the transferred amount.
- truSprng is not liable for delays or failures caused by Wise or recipient financial institutions.
6. Calling Services
- App-to-app calls are billed at $1 CAD per 100 seconds from your calling seconds balance.
- PSTN calls consume calling seconds; exact rates depend on destination country.
- Calling seconds are non-refundable once consumed.
- We are not responsible for call quality issues arising from your internet connection or third-party carrier routing.
7. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & FINTRAC Compliance
truSprng operates as a Money Services Business (MSB) under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA). By using financial features you agree to:
- Provide accurate identity information when requested.
- Transactions over $1,000 CAD (cumulative or single) may trigger additional identity verification.
- We are legally required to report suspicious transactions to FINTRAC. Refusal to cooperate may result in account suspension and regulatory reporting.
- You will not use truSprng to launder money, evade taxes, fund illegal activities, or circumvent sanctions.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: use the platform for fraud, spam, harassment, or illegal activity; use automated systems to interact with the platform; attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise platform security; use calling features for unsolicited robocalling; send payments to sanctioned individuals or entities.
9. Privacy & Data
- We collect: username, hashed password, phone number, IP address, and transaction history.
- Phone numbers are used for SMS verification (Twilio) and stored securely.
- Payment data is processed by Stripe and Wise. We do not store full card numbers or banking credentials.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties.
- Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Canadian law.
- You may request deletion of non-financial personal data by emailing support@trusprng.ca. Financial records cannot be deleted due to legal obligations.
10. Fees Summary
- Card top-up fee: 2.9% + $0.30 CAD (Stripe) — non-refundable
- P2P wallet transfer: Free
- Bank withdrawal via Wise: Wise's published fee (varies by country)
- Calling seconds: $1 CAD = 100 seconds
11. Refunds
Unused wallet balance refunds may be requested within 30 days by contacting support@trusprng.ca. Processing fees and consumed calling seconds are non-refundable. Wise transfer fees are non-refundable once a transfer is initiated.
12. Limitation of Liability
truSprng's total liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Service availability is not guaranteed and we are not liable for downtime or data loss.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@trusprng.ca. Upon closure, any remaining wallet balance (less applicable fees) will be returned within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at our sole discretion.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of truSprng after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
